my ex husband is accusing me and my boyfriend of "beating his car in with baseball bats" which is impossible because he and i were together that night yes. but we were preoccupied with other things.... and when i drove by his car it obviously is clear that someone backed into his car. a baseball bat beating would have several indents and this only has one. on the corner of the hood breaking the light and obviously looks like a truck (from the height that it was hit) backed into it.

Do you think that they will turn and place us as suspects just SOLEY based on the fact that my EX hates us both and wished death on us, and has already pointed his finger at me?

I wasn't even in the same city as him that night. There is NO POSSIBILITY of me being involved.

Do you think that I should worry?

Police can tell the difference between a baseball bat dent to a car and damage caused by another car. If you were not in the same city, the police may question you if your ex files a complaint but you should be able to explain yourself, that coupled with the contrary evidence regarding the way the vehicle was damaged should resolve your present problem.

Um, no I wouldn't worry about it. If there's as much evidence that he got backed into as you say then the police will be smart enough to recognize that. Things like paint scratches, angles of indents, etc. Plus, I hear he's driving his parents car right now, so his damage must be much more severe than that which would have been caused by a baseball bat. either that or he's extremely vain and doesn't want to be seen with anything that's even slightly damaged.

As for your alibi, maybe a neighbor of your bf will attest to being kept awake by...uh "noises"

;-)

You'll obviously be looked at as a suspect, although if your alibi checks out as you say it does, you'll be fine. If it isn't a baseball bat, authorities would know, as well. It's easy to see, and if it is indeed an entirely different situation, your ex may get in trouble for lying about it, or jumping to conclusions. I say don't sweat it. If you didn't do it, you have nothing to worry about.

The only people who worry about it are the people who are guilty. Things will pan out the right way in short time, you know? There is rarely an accusation where someone who isn't guilty gets charged.

Try not to worry.

I don't think you need to worry a bit. It would appear to me that your ex is having trouble dealing with the fact that you are starting a new life that does not include him and his jealousy is lashing out toward you. More than likely he knows that you and your b/f had nothing to do with the ding or dent on his truck. He is wanting attention from you and probably just stirring it up so to speak. I would suggest to stay clear of this lunatic. He could be possible of doing anything. One never knows to what extent someone will go to when they are jealous or mad. We think we know what this person or that person will do, but from experience I know better. The less you have to do with your ex the better. Eventually he will go away and leave you and your b/f alone. Just don't antagonize the guy........

Be cautious. He probably wants you to compensate for the damage, since he doesn't know who did it and wants to get back at you. If need be, and you get scared, move! Go where he can't find you and has no contact with you. Before you go that far, I would involve the authorities. If he is causing you bodily or emotional trauma, you have a lawsuit on your hands. Get a lawyer involved and have your ex meet you and your lawyer at the lawyer's office. Have the lawyer explain to your ex that he could be out a lot of money and time if he doesn't stop messing with you. Also, get a restraining order so that if he ever does come to your house to mess with you, he will be in legal trouble for setting foot on your property or talking to you.

Please don't worry. The police will consider the source this accusation is coming from. Also they have the forensic knowledge now to identify the true source of the damage, which that alone will clear you. And top it off with the fact that you were out of town, that gives you an alibi. Just laugh off what your ex is saying.

One never knows just how these things are going to turn out. Most of the time no problem. Some times the inocent are convicted so to say. Stay away from him and keep quiet about it unless there comes a legal proglem.

Your story stinks, I'm sorry but you are not believable. First of all you can 't testify in favor of each other because your both suspects. Secondly; I know you were in town because you told us so within lines 3 & 4 of your perjured statement, you lying Slut! Gee your preoccupation that night wouldn't have anything to do with your new boyfriend boning your lying ***; would it! Ignorant, spiteful, *****! I am sorry, but what do you take us for! Furthermore I know you love George and the currant status quo!

Just make certain that certain that you can be placed elsewhere within a 24 hour period. If the police show up then just tell them the truth and let it go from there. Your ex will then be in trouble for filing a frivolous complaint.... Good Luck

I think you should not worry about it at all. Your ex husband sounds like he is trying to keep an immature game going and you shouldn't stoop that low. If a car hit it, an investigator will be able to tell, and will laugh at him. Don't worry, all will be fine
