If it's a crack in drywall have your contractor come back and repair. Probably just a tape/joint repair due to the house settling. If it appears again call your homeowner's insurance company. They'll probably pay for an inspector to figure out if it's a big problem or not.

Sounds like the joint compound on the seams shrunk. Goodness, was this a do it yourself job? Time to call a professional for assessment & high quality repair job.

Time to call Judge Judy if you had someone else do it! I hope you had some kind of contract that they guarantee their work. Do they have a contractors license, bonded & insured? If so, have them come back & threathen to sue them in small claims court for the costs of having a *real* contractor fix it. (take pictures).
Good luck!

This is normal......we are going through the same thing right now with our new house...hopefully, like us you have a warrantee with the builder.....he will come back to fix them but he won't repaint though. Don't forget that when a house is built it has to settle..

if you just built the house, you should a have a walkthrough with your builder scheduled in the first year. he will have to fix all the problems you find like the cracks.
