We live in 2 different states now. His current girlfriend knows nothing of us and he calls and comes down to visit without her knowledge.

Yes, you can still love each other, but it would be a different kind of love. More like a friendship kind of love. You want to keep things between the both of you on nice terms (no matter what the situation was for the breakup) for your children's sake. Of course, they would love to see the two of you back together. If the love is a little more than friends, start back up as doing things as a family and work through a friendship first and things may progress back to a complete family again. Good luck!

I am a single mom of two girls and there dad and i have been apart for eight years. We get a long really well the only down fall is he is a drinker so he does not see his children but no i do not think you ever stop loving your child's father for me i know for my girls sake to make a good life we had to part. For you if you love him and he treats you and the kids good give it a try people change and it may be better this time i am a firm believer love can work and who better with that the man who gave you your children.

well i did. It was unhealthy. My question to you is if you still love one another then why are you playin head games? Why aren't you together. So he moved to another state. By him comin around he is givin the kids hope that you 2 will wind up together. And him being dishonest with his current gf isn't fair to her either. If you 2 love one another then you 2 should work it out. or get over it

Well sometimes I think people sometimes move on. I too had love for my other partner but as time went on, it just went away. The fact you guys still see each other doesnt help the healing process.

you still love each other? ask him if he wants to do something like you two and the kids could do something together as a family. and maybe you two could end up back together.

depending on your relationship. it's always healthy to maintain a positive relationship not just for the kids but for the couple as well......
