I am traveling to Athens, Greece in July. I would like to know how to get to my hotel in Syntagma Square preferably by subway or whatever is cheaper. Any tips and suggestions would be great!

Very easy:

1.There are taxis or limos(not very cheep)

2.Metro
(05:00 - 12:00, you need approx. 30 min to Airport-Syntagma)
Single Ticket: 6,00euro
Reduced Airport Ticket (students): 3,00 e
Return Airport Ticket :10,00
2-person airport single ticket(group ticket): 10,00
3-person airport single ticket(group ticket): 15, 00
You can buy tickets at the station

3.Buses (all day and night)
No: X95
single ticket:3,20 euro (you need approx. 70 min. to go Airport-Syntagma during day and 50min during night)
You can buy tickets on the bus from the driver.

There are many other buses but you have change to take metro
see the links

I ALWAYS use metro. It's very fast but it doesn't work during night . During night I always use a bus. You can carry your luggage easily and the drivers are friendly and too helpful.
I never use taxis (you have to pay much).

It is easy.Coming out of the airport you will see the bus stops on your right hand side.Buy a ticket of 3.10 euros from the special ticket kiosk , enter the bus to Syntagma, validate your ticket in the special orange colored machine and once you depart in less than an hour you will be in Syntagma sq.Buy a regular and not a deducted ticket cause you really need to have a special school paper to prove you are a pupil or student.Enjoy !
P.S.A taxi would cost 25 euros more or less.

You can either use the METRO (40 minutes/6€) or the bus (1 hour/3€) If you are a student, you will pay half the price
