What separates pornography from prostitution?

I mean, if you really think about, porn is nothing more than people getting paid to have sex. By the way, IF YOU CAN, I would like the real reason pornography is legal. Opinions WILL BE accepted.

Porno is media, whereas prostitution is not. Porno claims to be art, whereas prostitution is a one-to-one business transaction.

Porno is legal because it claims to be either art or speech specifically protected under the first amendment. Obscenity is not legal, and is defined by the supremes as essentially you know it when you see it.(The Warren Court).

Prostitution is illegal because it does not claim to be art, and therefore has no constitutional protections. It does not cross state lines in all cases, so it does not fall under the regulation of the federal congress (and which is why it is not a federal offense). It does however, fall under the regulation of state governments, and they have the choice to regulate it however they want to. They could make it legal in their own state if they wanted to.

Porno stars are tested for diseases on a regular basis, prostitutes do not care if they give out diseases. Porn is legal due to all participants being of legal age and consenting to such activity. There are permits that must be pulled for them to shoot these films also to prove that the environment is suitable for adults only.
