It leaves The New York city at 11.00 P.M. on April 29th.
At that time the time at California would be behind by (120-75)*4/60 hrs.i.e.3hrs and so 8 P.M. on April 29th.Add the flight time of 8 hrs and the flight will land in San Fransisco at 04.00 A.M. on April the 30th.For every deg due west you put the clock behind by 4 minutes.

EST - Eastern Standard Time

PST - Pacific Standard Time
TOA - Time Of Arrival

I'm going to give this a shot...

Departure time:

11pm NY time = 8pm San Francisco Time

Arrival time is:

4am San Francisco Time April 30th

4 am, April 30 San Francisco time and date. 11pm April 29 NYC time and date+8hrs. flight time = 7am April 30 NYC time and date. Subtract 3hrs. for crossing 3 time zones from NYC to SF. You get 4am on the 30th of April S.F. date and time.

Um, you gave the flying time. 8 hours. That would make it 7 am EST on the 30th of April. Subtract 4 hours, and make it 3 am on the 30th if you want PST.
