Cuckmere Haven, a few miles outside Eastbourne is perfect and used for a lot of school geography field trips. You can get right down to the water's edge to study the erosion and deposition up close; there's also a hill right next to the river which you can climb for a 'bird's eye view' of the site.
very easy to get to by bus from either Brighton or Eastbourne.

For aerial views use Google earth. If you want to look at erosion and deposition, conducting studies etc, then use google earth to locate the meanders and go there yourself.
