I am guessing that this is a female character and a strong person. My vote is for Xibeis. My second choice would be Asalie. They both sound simple and roll off of the tongue, but they are also a little exotic and magical sounding, making the background of the character mysterious. It would open up lots of possibilities for their previous life...
I would have to use Tain for a male, though...LOL
