I think everyone's bonkers to some extent ;-)
I like the dark because I'm a private person and I feel free to relax and be myself in the dark. I can imagine whatever I want and there are no limitations... I'm also a night owl, I don't know if those two things have anything to do with each other... although sunlight is also nice, especially here where it's dark so much of the year...

when we talk about light we talk about nature,the bible to the
christians proof that in the beginning God create heaven and earth ,and the earth was without form and darkness was upon the face of the earth,and God said let there be light and there was light
and the light became the life of every existing things today.
i prefere light becase it is the source of living in the physical a sight in the mortal and a treat to darkness.
those who prefere darkness often stumble and fall because even
the supreme was unable to explore the darkness untill he sent
down his spirit and through his spirit control the world even till today.

No,you are not mad.I love this question.Actually i prefer my everything is light including this world,my life,and all the things in this world.I hope this world is light because i hope all the darkness in this life such as crime and war can disappear and the bright side can always here.I will also hope my life is lighting with flame all the times.I hope i can stay happy every second although this is impossible. I hope i can light up others people life and all the unfortunate people in this world.Hope that my dream can become reality in one coming day!

Ive always preferred the dark for stalking my prey. I have great vision in the dark. You also have less chance of being seen. Also, when you've lived your entire life in the dark, the light hurts when you try to step into it.

I am a candle.
When I burn I give out light - light with which I reach farther and see my world. I burns in the middle of the night. Am I mad?

Well sometimes I prefer light & sometimes love dark...It depends on mood...I dont think that the person who is asking this question is mad b/c question is question...whatever it is....

i prefer the dark as it is more calming. that is if you are talking about light/dark as in depth of light.
chocolate - i prefer white.
