120 degrees east mostly is GMT +8, but it is GMT+9 in Russia. That would make it 5:00pm or 6:00pm respectively.

90 Degrees west is GMT-6 making it 3:00am

See chart for details...

EDIT: Oh yeah. It is the same day (Sunday) in all cases. Also, GMT is 'Greenwich Mean Time' also known as Zulu or UTC (Coordinated Universal Time)

A complete circle consists of 360 degrees, so for the sake of our calculations let us assume the Earth is a circle. If the Earth turns once every 24 hours then it turns at 15 degrees an hour, therefore 1 degree is the equivalent of 4 minutes. Now Geenwhich is 0 degrees. East of Greenwhich is in front of Greenwich time and west of Greenwich is behind Greenwich time. So.......
90 degrees West is 360 minutes ( 4 X 90 ) or 6 hours behind and 120 degrees East is 480 minutes ( 4 X 120 ) or 8 hours in front.
Both are the same day, check out where the International date line runs through the Pacific.

The earth is divided into 24 basic time zones, each about 15 degrees wide. So 120 degrees east of GMT would be 8 zones or 8 hours ahead or 5 pm Sunday. 90 West would be 6 hours behind or 3 am Sunday. It is tricky when using Daylight Savings time so that is not used here.

each time zone uses 15 degrees longitude, 360/24 zones=15

at 120 deg east its still Sunday but 8 hours later in Russia or 5 PM (120/15=8).....at 90 degrees west its 90/15=6 that is 6 hours from 9AM or 3 AM (Sunday) on the east coast of the USA (assuming our clocks are on standard time and not DST)

EAST = 1700 (or 5.00 pm) Sunday. It is 8 hours ahead of you.

WEST = 0300 ( 3.00am) Sunday. It is 6 hours behind you.

Basically,

1 degree = 4 minutes

So,

120 degree = 480 minutes = 8 hours.
90 degree = 360 minutes = 6 hours.

To the EAST
We add 8 hours = 9.00am + 8hours = 5.00pm

To the West
We minus 6 hours = 9.00am - 6 hours = 3.00am

As both do not CROSS 12 time frame, it is still the SAME day.

Responses without sources are not answers, just opinions.

90 West lies in two different time zones depending on latitude. As does 120 East.

Further to above answers - it doesn't make any differance whether it's daylight savings time or not. The question stated the time in Greenwich, not the time in Greenwich Mean Time (zulu). English clocks advance in Summer too, so the ACTUAL time differance is always the same, the only thing that changes is the differance between local time and zulu time (GMT)
