The races last a good 4 hrs, how do they hold it for so long? Sometimes the drivers are sick or have the flu, yet never stop.

MASaintFan's #1 answer is right, I contacted a driver to find out for sure. Although I am sure your #2 answer is right also, that may explain why they spray them with pop, champagne, etc. in victory lane!! lol

I don't know for sure, but:
1) These drivers get very hot and often dehydrated during these races. It's possible they just don't have to go.
2) On the occasions that they DO have to go, my guess is they go in their jumpsuits.
If you contact NASCAR and get an answer to this question, let us know!

well if you go back a year or two there was a race where Toney Stewart had to get to victory lane but made a quick stop at his trailer ,when he came out he had changed his clothes for some reason,my husband says to me i think he sh%t i his pants because he had been complaining on the radio that he had stomach cramps in the last 20 laps of the race ,so we knew thats what happened. and they do wear somekind of diaper just for that reason

Although I know nothing about Nascar, I know that to go a long distance of time without going to (as we call it in Britain) the toilet deserves admiration. As I am writing this, I feel that I need to go to the toilet, despite having been about three or four times in the last 45 minutes I so. Unlike Steven Gerrard, I do not have obsessive compulsive disorder.

They proably go in the car. I know that sounds kinda gross to think about but you know they have to take in fluid, after all they do those Gatorade commericals now that explain about that. So you have to figure they proably have to do something that drains the sweat as well as if they have to use the bathroom. I'm sure it would only be a liquid thing though, as to the body waste that is controlable by what you eat and when.

Well NASCAR drivers could have adult diapers, but if they don't want to go, they should eat enough a long time before the race and not eat anything before the race close to time. That way they can't go.
It would be bad if a NASCAR driver got out of his car to go to the bathroom.
You could go if you got out of the race.

They do go to the bathroom, if they need to...they just go in their suits. The seat is so hot the moisture evaporates anyway...I have heard of some sort of bag that they could wear inside the suit, but I think they just go....especially since they drink lots of fluids to stay hydrated during the race.

I dont know this for sure, I can only assume that either they have something in the car to help relieve themselves, or htey just go in there pants...crap, they make enough money--not like they cant afford a new fire suit

they have a hose thing that goes from they stuff to a tank in the back seat or wherever
they keep it securely fastened as to prevent leakage and when they go...it goes to the tank and then after the race they empty it.
