Don't count out the United States. They're certainly not a team anyone takes likely any more, but if goalie Kasey Kellar gets hot, the US has a very good chance. Soccer is like boxing: They say in boxing "He's got a Puncher's chance" -- meaning that anyone who can throw a hard punch has a chance to knock the other guy out. The US has the ability to score and the ability to shut another team out, ergo they could win it all.
I like them to win their group. This is the weakest team Italy has sent to the World Cup in 40 years, and I think the Czech's are over-rated, tought admittedly, they looked good inthe playoffs to get into the cup. If the US finishes second in their group, they'll probably wind up playing Brazil, so a first place finish could be key for the US advancing farther -- but you've got to play the best to be the best!

Brazil has an awesome team this year...
But if I'd have to pick a team, I would say England, Micheal Oven is on a roll.
Also, let us not forget that the Germans have won almost every single tournament they hosted.
