When a police officer said " Don't Move. Put your hand up and put them behind your head"

Can anyone show me how to do it ?

(If you're a police officer, I would like to hear from you ).

boy. you got bigger issues than this. obviously, if you're concerned about the cops pulling a gun on you, you better quit hangin with friends who are a bad influence on you. quit listening to violent music, watching violent TV shows. stay away from kids who do drugs (that can *really* get you in trouble fast, and the cops won't tolerate drugs)

In most cases, if you just do what the police say, they will not take you as a threat, although sometimes the police make mistakes. They're human just like we are.

If your point is that putting your hands up requires moving, which you were told not to do, I doubt seriously that a police officer is interested in a debate on semantics at that precise moment. You both know that he means not to move except to follow his instructions.

Yeah I had a discussion about this and it seems that the phrase:

"Don't move" or "Freeze" has a meaning of, STOP, do not move at this moment, obey my commands. and any further command "such as put your hands above your head or whatever" oversees the "Don't move" command.

so the don't move is mearly a referance for you to stop moving so he can get in control of the situation.

Don't be a smart alack. Just put your hands behind your head, and if he/she gives you grief then be a smart alack.
