May be she is viewing you as a rival and she thinks you have advantage over her. To compensate it she has adopted mean ways. Talk to her and compliment her. She may gain confidence and stop being mean. Long relationships have their own strengths. Give it a chance. If she does not change, it is the time to end the relationship. Relationships are like organic substance. They are born, grow and wither away. If you still cling on to it, it starts stinking. You should always know when is the time to move on in any relationship. Don't ever pile on someone who doesn't care a damn. You deserve better than this.

Tell her how you feel. If she was a real friend she wouldnt do that to begin with. Maybe she doesnt realize she acts that way. Sometimes people get in the habit of doing something that they dont even realize it. So if you two are friends, then you will let her know because thats what friendship is about.

You should talk to her about that and address the issue. Let her know how her behavior changes when she is around boys and find out why is she like that. If she is not willing to change, you're better off not having her as a friend. Why be around somebody who changes their behavior when they're around certain people? You shouldn't have to deal with that.

sounds like she gets jealous of other girls when boys are in the picture. Its just insecurity, like she has to make others look bad just so she can look good. Its very childish.
I'd call her out on it right in front of the boys. I'd say, "hey, what's your problem, why do you have to be so nasty when you're around boys and so nice when they aren't around? - grow up!"

tell her who you feel if she doesn't stop being mean then she's trying to get attention from the boys, you have two options continue to be her friend and accept that she's going to mean to you or stop being her friend for a while or at least when boys are present.

I think your friend is looking to show off in front of guys .Maybe she thinks she's hot and has a high self esteem .But i'd tell her not to be so rude and tell her when no one else is around. Its all a part of growing up!
