I think it cost about $75 per person. My mother-in-law told me that is what she paid in FL. She went to a state office. Call your state department.

The cost for the passport will be about $97 if you can use regular service. This means you wll get the passport in about six weeks from the day you submitted it. Be sure to put your travel date as a date before you will actually be going, but not closer than six weeks or they will want you to do the rush service. Passports have been taking a little longer since the hurricanes because, I believe, one of the offices was destroyed during the hurricane. So they are waiting longer to send them and if you put your actual travel date, you may not get it in time. So it costs $97 for the passport and execution fee, if you need the expedited service it is an extra $60 plus the cost of the overnight shipping. You also need two photos of yourself, it is best to get this done by someone that takes passport photos, like AAA. There are specific guidelines, sizes, etc. that has to be followed on the picture. So having them done is about $12. If you can do regular service you are looking to spend about $109.

As far as where to get them, I think it is best to go to like the Post Office. They will go over your application with you and make sure everything is filled in and correct and then do anything else you need to do. It is just a good check so you don't send it in wrong and have it send back or rejected.

When you go, don't forget to bring I.D. like a state I.D or your license, an official raised seal birth certificate and also your social security card if you don't know the number. You have to send your birth certificate in to the agency when submitting, so be sure you won't need it while it is gone, i.e. going on a cruise or something.

That should be everything you need to know. The passport website should be able to answer any other questions you have: http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html

Hope this helps!
