i was shocked and felt betrayed, me and the wife are getting a divorce but what should i do about the best friend...

Well divorcing your wife will make them have an open affair and relationship right in front of your face, since you could not bear to hurt him. Wake up, my friend, this so call "best friend "of yours is not human, he is a stray dog and as for your wife, if you do not mind me saying , she is a female dog, which we descripe as "B_T_H". From this point something came across my mind, do you believe that one hand can clap? In every divorce case, I think it is unfair to point finger at only one party. It takes 2 to get married and definitely it also takes two persons at fault to get a divorce. Have you ever ask yourself why your wife is having an affair behind you whether be it is your best friend, it may be somebody else. I hope you are not angry with me for making such a comment.

ok, now dear look at what you just wrote!!" I can't hurt my best friend" come on man, he damn sure wasn't thinking about your heart when he was in your bed with YOUR wife now was he???! If you can divorce your wife over it and not forgive her but, you can still be his friend something is wrong here either you didn't really love your wife or something. That just isn't fair...............to any of you! I would just walk away from them both they both betrayed you as a man so, why do you need them? Did it hurt you to find them in bed together?or just shocked? takes to tango she wasn't alone! but,neither was he......Good Luck!

Why is everyone focusing solely on the best friend i honestly thought in relationships especially in marriage that most people would called their partner their best friend. All I can say is at the end of the day it is up to you how you approach the situation whether you wipe them from your life or try to talk it through with them both and move on with them both remaining in your life. Either way it takes two to stray or otherwise it can not be called a affair and how ever you react to her you should react to him the same way as they both where in on it. You can not stay with your wife and wipe the friend or visa verse, it takes two. You must remember they are both guilty and equally at fault with this. I wish you all the best with your decision regarding this and how you feel is the best for you with dealing with this.

They both don't deserve your love. They betrayed you once and they will do it again. A friend of ten years was supposed to know that doing something like that to you would break your heart. Dump him just like you dumped your wife. He's not a real friend and if you keep him as your friend again who knows how he's going to betray you again. If he comes up with that nonsence that she tempted him, it takes two to tango. Sorry about what happened I can imagine the pain you are going through.

I hate to say it man, but he's not your best friend if he slept with your wife. He was willing to throw away 10 years of friendship for a lay.
Its best that you just get away from the situation and move on. Cut your ties with all that mess.

Bit over the top i think,after all your best friend could have being guarding your wife.My best friend sleeps with my wife every night and i actually approve it.What are best friends for but to look after and protect.My best friend can do what he wants with my wife it does not bother me,i am not the jealous type.My best friend and me know where we both stand and there is no trouble,as long as i take him out for walks and feed him he is as happy as larry.We both love him.

Like bronzebabe said he wasnt ur friend to begin with and your wife couldnt have been more cruel than sleeping with him..She must be knowing that she is pushing in double blade into you..first wife and then the best friend..

Your best friend crossed a line he should have NEVER crossed!! Best friends will be there through EVERYTHING if they are indeed best friends. I would NOT consider this man to be a best friend though. He had sex with the woman you are married to. I'd suggest you ditch them both. Find a new woman and a new best friend!! Sorry dude that both put you through this pain, not fair!! Good luck!!

dump the friendship because it wasn't there to start with. been there done that, so called best friend for over 35 yrs and caught her in bed with my husband, tried to stay friends with her but after week knew it would never be a friendship that was in the 80 and haven't spoken to either of them since

Get rid of the best friend. He's not the type of friend you want, and obviously valued sex with your wife, over your ten year friendship. Ditch them both and start over. You'll be better off. You'd never forgive him anyway.
