I am not sure HE hates gay people, as much as his constituents do, and he does not have many of those any more. The REPS are getting really scared at this point. They have really, really screwed up this country recently. Smoke and mirrors man. They know darned well they cannot pass a constitutional amendment, they can't even get it out of congress, and they now it.
So it LOOKS like they are doing something. It looks like it, they are not.
Stupid politics as usual.
Close to a trillion a year deficit, Stock market going down the tubes, gas going through the roof, two hot wars going on, and brinkmanship on a third, and they decide to debate the definition of marriage. Yes, sir, America's finest politicians just doing their job..

He doesn't hate homosexuals. He isn't scared of homosexuals.
And, because he isn't Muslim, he doesn't execute homosexuals for being homosexuals.
If this is about the Marriage Amendment, this has more to do with preventing 5 judges from playing hobs with our society based on their biases than it does on whether Bush loves or hates homosexuals.
And, if you actually did your own thinking, you would know that Christians do not hate homosexuals. It's just that the Bible calls homosexuality a sin, and good Christians do not celebrate or endorse sin. You really need to stop assuming nefarious motivations and evil hearts of people you disagree with. That just makes you theocratic whackos.

He does not hate them, he just does not feel that they should have the same rights as married straight people. If it ever becomes legal for gay people to marry, your taxes will go up and you will feel differently about this issue.

Homosexuality is a sin. Christians are taught to "love the sinner, hate the sin". I don't think Bush hates homosexuals, just homosexuality.
Gay marriage is against Christian principles. But we are a nation that subscribes to the theories of "freedom of religion" and "all men are created equal". This means that everyone has equal rights, Christian and non-Christian, homosexual or heterosexual. We cannot deny a right to one group of people without denying it to all people. Therefore we cannot simply extend the right of marriage to heterosexuals and deny it to homosexuals, based on Christian principles.

I don't think he hates gay people. I know as a Republican myself that we don't hate gay people we just don't agree with their life style and the way they act. NO ONE SHOULD MARRY THE SAME SEX and think it is OK.
