You should eat healthy food, like fish, chicken, and some red meat (but not every day). Veggies and fruit (not too much of this either as fruit contains calories, especially bananas!) Drink water! Lots of water! Try not to drink more than one glass of milk per day. Brown bread, like wholegrain, instead of white bread, which is nothing but air and empty carbs. You also need carbs, but you get that from vegetables and red meat. If you exercise, be sure to eat a little more proteins than you normally do, to build muscles out of fat. ;) Good luck!

It really depends on what your trigger food is. Mine is wheat so I try to keep away from bread, etc. However, I do cheat and have a Mebeverine tablet (PRESCRIBED BY MY DOC) before every meal and this really limits the discomfort. Have you been told by your doc that you have IBS? If so, you should have been prescribed tablets, at least for a few months, to alleviate the prob. If not, then go to the Doc and get a professional opinion. Good luck

When you are bloated, it is a sign of IBS. Other signs are constipation/diarrhea and pain in left part of lower abdomen. It is mostly due to stress. To relieve, avoid irritant food like pepper and gassy drinks. Simple foods are the best to be eaten. Mild antianxiety medications are also of help.

Watch what you eat, and try to exercise. Also drink alot of water. If that doesn't seem to help you may need to go to a specialist, it may be something else. Some fruits and veggies will irritate, and also milk products, such as, ice cream, cheese, sour cream....you need to find out what makes you feel that way.
