Depends on what I was in a hurry to do. If I were on my way to work, I'd say, "I'm sorry I can't visit right now. I have to go to work." But if I were on my way to the mall, I'd treat them just like anyone else. They can't help having a stuttering problem, but I can help being rude and insensitive.

I have a friend who has sarhapolsiy and cant talk all that clear but over the years i have learned to understand him better by taking the time to let him talk and just listen, because just because he doesn't talk all that clear he is pretty smart and he does have a voice and should be given the same courtesy to be heard as any other human being.

i'd give them the time - stuttering can only get worse when rushed. Easier to let them chat... explain your in a rush but you'll call / pop round as soon as you have a free second or two.

what could possibly be so urgent, you havent got a few minutes to chat to someone who obviously wants to talk to you?

You cannot force a stutterer to sepak faster, as it worsens the stutter.

You stay and wait. You don't finish the sentence for them, as that's rude.

I shall stop just for one or two seconds to instruct them to wait till I come back.

If what they say is urgent, slow them down and let them speak.

If not, just be politely honest, leave and get back to them later...

If you really dislike them, then brush them off as nicely as you can.

I would give them their time because not only is that the way they are but I wouldn't want to hurt their feelings.
