I do, but the other name for I use for spacing out is blocking out what you don't want to hear. Such as your children or grandchildren whining about something, asking for money, or wanting this or that. I go into the Space mode. Works for me.

I don't call it space, to me I zone out.I started doing this when I was in school.I use to get bored so I would zone out and go where my imagination would take me.I still do it now.

Of course! Our brain and body needs this, in order to resume power and calibrate according to new data/ knowledge!
I wish you are spacing out while in bed, sofa, desk, etc.! Please, never let yourself while you are driving, or even walking close to road!
