Advantage : You realised he's maybe a jerk and not the one for you. Now you can try and find the right one.
Disadvantage : You gave up 10 years of your life for something that turned out wrong. Happens. Don't beat yourself up over it. Move on with your life. Easier said than done but still, you have to move on.

1 Advantage right off the bat is that you have a new start but at the same token the disadvantage is that you have to start over with another person. You already know so much about the person you were involved with for the 10 years and then now you're starting over, so you have to get to know that new person. Another advantage is if there were things that you didn't like in your previous relationship like a habit or something like that you don't have to deal with it anymore. Now in the other relationship the disadvantage is that you don't know the new person's habits and they can be worst than your ex's habits. I hope that helps, best of luck.

Okay, so there was trust built over those ten years, and ending the realtionship will probably end that unless it is decided that both partners want it to end. Also, it might be lonely since there will no longer be that sense of comfort. I think that ultimately, there can be a lot of both advantages and disadvantages, it depends on the relationship. More information is needed, like was the person cheating or was it solid, were they married, etc.

wow, ten yrs!!thats a long tym. did u get married?? anyways the advantages r not many. basically if u wanna end the relationship then things must b bad so one advantage is that u can bail from the relationship.2nd advantage is that u get to test the waters once agen.disadvantages r many. a few of then r the fact that u've been with the same person so long, means that tyms hav changed since ur last partner, so basically startin from square 1.anotha disadantage is that if u were together 4 10 yrs, u both must hav been happy.so u may not find anotha person like this. these r just a few pointers.anyways i wld say try work it out, coz 10yrs is a lot 2 throw out.good luck.

The disadvantage is heartache and pain in losing some you have been close to for 10 years and you so used to the person. and you will find somebody and you will keep comparing them to your ex. The advantage is that you can move on and find someone else and see what they have in store for you.

Advantages;;experience of a long term relationship and love,security,tolerance,sharing the good and bad situations,enjoying "couple" things together,extended families,and sharing taxes
Disadvantages;;,interfering family members,being seen naked on daily basis,having to share everything,relentless arguments over finances,watching your partner age,and having the toilet seat in constant "up" position!

disavantage you would have to find someone else advantage if someone is in a 10 year relationship then someone truely loves you so why would anyone want to end such
