Yes definitely!
Healing is basically energy which comes from a higher place, or if you are religous then from God. From experience I believe that this energy is the Holy Spirit. Sometimes when I need comfort or help, I ask God to fill me with the Holy Spirit. It's very simple. Also you don't have to be a wacky Christian to believe in it or recieve it...it's available to everyone! If you ask someone to lay their hands on you then they are in fact channeling that same energy from God/a higher place...it is equally as effective and it can be quite nice to have someone to helping you.
Healing happens on four levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual and when you recieve healing, whether on your own or through another person this energy will go wherever it is most needed. So it works for your greatest good!
Reiki is also a very effective way of healing...it is similar to what I mentioned above but with more eastern influences and a different approach. Reiki also is about channeling energy. It is very beneficial for anyone and especially for people who may have a certain condition for one can often discover the cause of the illness. I like to combine reiki and my chrisitan faith.
My reiki instructor was healed of cancer and my mother can totally lift away my (rather painful) migraines by sending me reiki. Asking for the Holy Spirit makes me feel so much more at peace with myself and gives me this deep feeling of love...its hard to explain.
The Alpha Course (held at Churches all over the world) covers healing by faith...you may even witness or experience some yourself.
Sorry for such a long answer!!! Whatever you go for...its all good!

I believe that faith can heall. When I had pain my hand I went to church and then almost immediate I was healed. Another example was when my fiance was sick I sent him a prayer. Almost as soon as he said it he was healed just like magic.

oh yes i do..faith is believing in something before it is manifested in the physical..it is more than hope- faith transcends the five senses and places a belief in the Source of creation, the Creator of the world and of man; it moves beyond one's belief in one's own ability to make things happen, and carries the faith-believing perons to a place where they recognize the need for humility, accepting God as God and in the belief that nothing happens against His will

it is virtually impossible. faith healing is a medium used by many modern day churches to attract people to their churches..other mediums to attract people are anointing (the pastor touch someone's head and that someone falls back), rock music, speaking in tongues and BLAH~
