Oil is measured in US Barrels (though it is not necessarily shipped in barrels at all).

One US Barrel is 42 US gallons. A US gallon contains 8 US pints, so a barrel is 336 US pints.

However, a US pint is 16 fluid ounced while an Imperial pint is 20 fluid ounces - 25% larger. So a US Barrel contains 268.8 Imperial pints.
