In INDIA in temples there are collection boxes in which the offerings of the devotees are dropped. The coins are of different denominations and each one is of different shape and size. The collections in some temples are so huge that these cannot be seggregated very easily manually consuming lot of time. Hence these collections are seggregated by SEIVING or by COINS SORTER . In one temple TIRUPATHY counting is a continuous process as huge amount of coins, currencies, jewels, gold, silver etc etc are dropped in the collection box. The coins move on a conveyor belt and mechanically get seperated .Then counted by machines as well as counter checked manually .by paid employees, volunteers and also vouchsafed by volunteer devotees selected at random daily!!!.

It's a machine with different size holes in it for each size coin. They are used for sorting change from slot machines, parking meters and such.
