Daredevil
Hulk
Blade
Dick Tracey
Punisher
Captain America
Catwoman
Elektra
The Punisher
Batman
X-Men
Superman
Swamp Thing
The Flash (aired today on Sci-Fi channel)
Steel
Nick Fury: Agent of Shield
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Fantastic Four
Judge Dread
Hellboy
Sin City
Captain America
V for Vendetta
Howard the Duck
Hellblazer
The Mask.
Tank Girl
Dennis the Menace
Garfield

and which is the most successful in keeping true to the comic? Probably Tank Girl, but the demands of film being so very different to the printed medium means that on the whole the comics and movies are like non-identical twins. Similar, but most definitely different.

Hellboy
Hellblazer (Constantine)
Superman 1 to 5 plus new movie
Sin City
the Batman films
Garfield (does that count? If it does I include Snoopy who was in a few cartoon films during the mid 7os)
Spiderman
The Fantastic Four
The Punisher
Toxic Crusader?
X-Men 1-3

Out of all these I think Hellboy, Spiderman, Batman Begins and Sin City are most successful in keeping true to the comic.

I would have to say V for Vendetta as honorable mention...it followed the letter of the comic probably better than most but completely ignored the spirit of the comic.

Then of course there is the Crow which outshines all the others...and is in a class all by itself. This adaptation is the most succesful of all comic books made in to film...in following the spirit and the letter of the comic. Beautiful and sad. The hero and the woman he loves both die...and yet there is something about this movie that has the touch of the eternal...the immortal....and we believe that somewhere... Eric and Shelley are together...for when two people love each other...nothing can keep them apart...

x-men has been made into 3 films, although the 1st was more true to the comics than the 3rd one
spiderman has been made into 2 films, with a 3rd on the way. i think its quite true to the comics, but i dont read spiderman (or any others), only x-men so i cant really comment
daredevil - i thought it was good, comic fans didnt
elektra - same as above
fantastic 4 - good comparison to comics, 2nd film planned
the punisher - 2 films made, one a couple of years ago, one in the early 90s
nick fury: agent of shield - the david hasselhoff version was so cheesy it was good!! a remake planned for the future
ghost rider - coming out next year
hulk - absolute rubbish, but i've heard bad rumours about a 2nd one being made
catwoman - again, rubbish adaptation
batman - four films made, first 2 most like the comics, plus batman returns
superman - 3 films made, dont know how true to the comics they are, plus superman returns
sin city - very true to the comic/graphic novel, probably the most so
league of extraordinary gentlemen - dont know how true to the graphic novel it is

ok, i cant think of any more. brain's gone dead. i'd say that sin city is the film most true to the comic
oh, they've also got a sin city 2 planned

forgot about judge dredd, spawn (how could I forget him?! he was so cool!)

Dennis the Menace
The Phantom
The Incredible Hulk
The Swamp Creature
Superman
Spiderman
Batman
Catwoman
The X Men
Conan the Barbarian
Judge Dread
DareDevil
Darkman
Doc Savage
The first film usually is closet to the Comic, i.e. Spiderman .The exception is Batman where the latest film tried to recreate the Gothic feel of early comics.

Well, there's the obvious ones like X-men, Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Punisher, and the Hulk. None of these have been truely successful in keeping true to the comics.
