So much of that depends on the woman, her health and her attitude toward becoming a mother. I had my daughter at 39 and my girlfriend is 42 and having a baby (which by all accounts is JUST FINE!)
After 35 you're considered HIGH RISK but more and more women are having healthy babies well into their 40's. I guess it boils down to this; do you want to be a mother???

It depends who is doing the considering!! A woman *can* conceive naturally until menopause--that is on average at age 50, although it can be in her late 30's. She can conceive through medical intervention even later; in this case, it's not age but having a uterus that determines when it's "not too late".
Lots of women are choosing to have a baby well into their 40s today.

As a woman ages so do her eggs. The older she is the higher her risk of pregnancy and problems with the baby increase. Also you need to take into consideration your age and who will raise the child if you are not there. Are you young enough to be there for Graduation, Wedding and first Grandchild. These will be important things in the child's life that they would want to share with you. Weigh the pros and cons and talk to your OB/GYN

36 years of age and beyond. Anything past 35 has much higher risk of birth defects, problems, and issues. As long as you have your 1st child by 35 you should be ok to have a few after 35. I feel bad for children though who are born to parents in their late 40's and beyond. What are they going to do, visit them in High School in their wheelchair with all their friends thinking they are with their grandparents? Disaster.

Late 30s has an increased risk of complications and decreased fertility.
But really you can have a baby as long as you menstrate and believe that you will live long enough to take care of it.

It depends on your body and lifestyle. Do you have the energy and financially able to have a baby. Then on the otherhand if you've tried several rounds of fertility treatments without success -- it may be time to say enough and move on to adoption or living w/out children.

I think up to 45 is okay...after that agae I think it's a little unfair for the child because parents will not be as patient or energetic to be able to dedicate themselves to the child plus its unfair for the kid to have 65 year old parents when he/she is 20

I think there is no specific age as "too late". It depends on your general health. It also depends on how much age difference you and your partner are willing to accept between you and your children. For health issues, it is best to discuss it with your doctor.
