Relax. Josh Beckett is going through a bad time right now, but he is a pro and will straighten out the problem and be the great pitcher we all know he can be.
I have great faith in this team!! Lowell, Youkilis, Gonzales, and Loretta make up the best all around infield in baseball. Defensively, the Sox are the best in the majors. Their outfield with Manny, Trot, and Coco is among the best!! And who has the BEST designated hitter in the American league?? The Sox, of course in Big Papi!!. Shilling, Beckett, and Wakefield (when they get him some runs), along with Clement make an excellent starting rotation. Each one is outstanding on any given night. AND, this team can score runs.
Now put all of this together, relax, and enjoy the Sox as they win the pennant and then go on to win the World Series!!
GO SOX!!!

I am not a Red Sox fan. Beckett has been injured his whole career. He has played in only a few games that mattered. Yes, Florida beat the Yankees in the World Series. He pitched a great game. But he is nothing more than mediocre, always has been. The Sox are in trouble pitching wise. I still contend they will not make the playoffs.

well ill tell you the reason right now, and by the way im a yankee fan, but i dont troll so here goes my explanation. josh beckett played great, in a low income, low popularity franchise. Beckett just can not stand the pressure of trying to play like kurt schilling, tim wakefield, jonathan paplebon. Look at his outing last night, it wasnt just a massacre, it was an embarrasment to the red sox franchise. He had 8 runs scored in one and two thirds innings. Mind you this was with a bunch of second string players, mastsui, sheffield, and jeter were all out. I hope beckett gets his stuff back, and starts throwing like he did in the world series.

No need to worry. This is not a playoff. I understand, he blowoff one game against the Yankees last night. I know it was very painful to see the game like that as a Red Sox fans. Beckett will be OK, hopefully.

Beckett was pitching in Florida, in Dolphin's Stadium. That place is huge. It's one of the biggest parks in the majors.
Plus he was in the National League, which is traditionally a softer-hitting league... with weak 7 and 8 hitters and pitchers hitting 9.
He's gonna give up more longballs pitching in Fenway... and his ERA's gonna be higher because he's in the NL.
As long as he stays healthy, he's gonna pitch some good games and some bad games.
The important thing to remember is he's only 26 years old. He's not really even in his prime yet. So he should still get better.

Ever have a spell in your life , where everything you normally do right, just comes out wrong?
Could be He is just having some off starts.
As for Yankee fans , weren't you all saying a few weeks ago "What is wrong with Randy Johnson?" Booing him as he left the field . He has his stuff back now , doesn't he?
BTW Toronto is The Red Sox thorn now not the Yankees

Good god. Last night was a disaster. For a minute I thought it was Matt Clement that showed up! Pitching is killing the Sox! Wells cannot come back, again, too soon!
Four more months of this is gonna be too much to take.

All that you said is true. I am a sox fan, but I don't live in Boston, so I am not one of those die-hard fans, but I like hearing about them.
