I'd go with plasma, it has better color and is a generally faster display. Just be careful of burn-in with cheaper plasma displays. If you don't mind it being a bit fuzzy with fast games, LCD is more resistant to burn-in. I'd absolutely stay away from any and all projection as the picture isn't very good and burn-in is very likely.

If you have the room for it, you could also consider a traditional tube. You can't get a huge display, but it'll look great and have almost total resistance to burn-in; the only downside is that it'll weigh quite a bit.

Absolutely don't get a huge TV, it will look pixelated. Large TVs are terrible for gaming unless you're easily impressed by large, low-quality pictures. Think of it as looking too closely to a poorly printed picture, you could also think of it as blowing up a poorly printed picture too large.

I actually have a 37' HDTV from Sony and it helps as much as 1080i. you will might desire to purchase a 30 dollar cable for the HDTV till you get a Xbox 360 Elite instead of the Used middle device. yet for the 360 something above 32' and helps atleast 720p then you definately could be fantastic.

alright, why get a 32 inch plasma HDTV instead of a nice projector, for about the same price? i've got an Infocus X2 and it works fine with my friends' 360's.
(the anything with lesser graphics look pixelated)
