Some girls are handsome, some beautiful, some plain.
Some boys are beautiful, some handsome , some plain.
But we are all living inside bodies we did not chose to be born into, so the question is only acceptable as skin is deep. LOL_T

I guess since they have pair (XX)same type of chromosomes
they are beautiful.
whenever something is insufficient interms of the quality of genes of one parent of girls then there allways exists a good quality gene of same type from other parent. this natural gift to girls make them beautiful inside which gets reflected outside.
and I think because of this we can see in a family that sisters are beautiful than brothers being handsome.

That is a long story.
I am presuming that you are male.
In that case:
Due to a long evolutionary history, those males who thought females were more beautiful then males survived better and produced offspring. Therefore, the male mind is set up that way.

because we have a more important role in life, giving birth, and men are a lot more visual than emotional, therefore we need to be beautiful for guys to stick around while we go through the important aspects of life and they can be there while constantly thinking about sex

It is all about semantics. The term beautiful is used for the feminine gender, and the term handsome is used for the male gender. They are both equivalent terms meaning, appealing to look at.

Its a matter of opinion really, I guess you find girls more attractive because you are a straight guy, but if you were gay, you'd prefer boys.

Beauty is within-I'd say you're only looking on the surface for it then and it is equivalent in both genders-it differs in the individual
