If you downloaded directly to your fonts folder, that is the problem. Copy them to a temp folder, then install them and they will be copied to your fonts folder and updated in the registry.

Font files are normally .ttf extension files.. when you are downloading them , download them in any folder then selet the .ttf files and paste then in c:\windows\fonts... when you click on paste it will show the installing status, after thats done. you will have the fonts avaliable for use.
check out www.dafont.com for some exciting fonts, do let me know if u know of some good websites for fonts

make sure you installed in c:\windows\fonts
