Wash with a face scrub everyday, like Clean and Clear, if you talk on the phone a lot, try and only let the phone touch your ear, keep your hands away from your face. You can use some pimple reducer cream when you go to bed at night or toothpaste (but don't leave the toothpaste on for more than a minute). Sometimes even washing your face with a cottonball and rubbing alcohol helps.

Never pop the pimple, the truth is when you pop the pimples you are actually pushing the puss further down. Second off you should never wash your face more than two times a day, even if your face is extremely oily. Washing your face in excess can actually cause your face to create more oil to keep it from drying out. Which can lead to even more pimples. If your face is oily in between washes, use oil blotting sheets, you can get these at walgreens, walmart or any pharmacy. Clean and Clear makes the ones that I use. They don't mess up your makeup (if your a girl), they simply just soak up the excess oil on your face without drying it out. Some good over the counter treatments to try are Pro Active or Natures Cure. If these products don't work for you then you should consult a dermatologist. Also, avoiding fatty and greasy foods are also a idea, oh and avoid touching your face (you can transfer lots of bacteria, and oil by doing so). Good Luck

Growing up, I tried all of the pimple products on the market. From Neutrogenia to ProActiv. After I got married, I stopped using those types of products and just washed my face morning and night with Dove soap. So far it has worked for the past two years.

You should start by only washing your face with a warm washcloth. Try a cleasing cream such as Noxzema on a daily basis or one that is particulary for oily skin. Drink water because you will notice the difference.

face wash with salicylic acid or tea tree oil. if you want to use an astringent clear up oil in between washing go for witch hazel. you'll find it at the drug store right next to the rubbing alcohol. it costs about $2 and it's the main ingredient in most of the $9 toners.
if this doesn't help go to a dermatologist, s/he may prescribe something stronger.

The best way is to clean your face regularly with a gentle cleansing product. Also...keep your hands away from your face during the day and stay away from fatty/spicy foods!

make sure you dont pick at them because all you are doing is spreading the infection. make sure you use a medicated soap when washing your face and get advice from your dr if they get worse. picking your face will cause you to have nasty scars so avoid this at all costs.
