Pretoria, Cape Town and Bloemfontein are regarded as the capital cities of South Africa. Some may differ in thinking that Pretoria has claimed the honor, but the situation did not change. Government wanted three and there are still three today.
I still think Johannesburg is bigger and worthier of this title, even if joint with the others.

The guy that said 3 is right. Pretoria is nice, Durban is relaxed but kinda dirty, havent been to Cape town, Johannesburg deserves something...its where everything goes on. I dont get the whole 3 capitals thing? At first it was basically just to keep everyone happy, but it makes life really difficult. If you want to get something done forms have to be sent from one capital to another, and back again...then inevitably they get lost about 5 times before you eventually get them back...Things take forever! I dont think anyone would really mind if they changed it to one?
