My son will be 4 months on the 17th. he also goes to bed from around 8pm to 4 am. He sleeps right through. He stirs once in a while but just goes right back to sleep...as long as your baby isn't crying let him sleep...it is a good thing!

I have a 5 month old son and starting when he was 4 months old we stopped with the nighttime feedings. He usually goes to sleep around 7 or 8 and would wake up at around 4. Then instead of giving him a bottle at that time, we just gave him the pacifier and he went back to sleep. We figured if he was really hungry he wouldn't go back to sleep so fast.
Now he sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night, but we just give him back the pacifier and goes back to sleep. Now he doesn't wake up until 7 am, which is a much better schedule. It's nice because now (since he's on solids) he only eats 4 times and it's all during the day.
Sounds like you have an easy baby like we do. I think you're doing great. Good luck!

My 5 month old gets a bath between 8 and 830 and is asleep between 9 and 930. She sleeps until about 730am. She gets 2 or 3 naps during the day that last a total of 3 or 4 hours. Sometimes she sleeps completely through the night and sometimes she wakes once. If she wakes in the middle of the night I'll feed her and she goes right back to sleep. It depends on how full her diaper feels whether or not I change her. But I always cake her bottom with diaper rash cream after her bath to protect her bum.

I have three children all girls.
My youngest 22 months old goes to bed at 7:00pm and wakes up at 6:45 in the morning with a ninny(pacifire). She still takes 2 naps a day
My 2nd daughter is 2 3/4 years old she goes to bed between 7:00-7:30 pm and gets up at 7:45-8:00 am. She also takes an ocassional nap.
My oldest is 4 3/4 and goes to bed at 8:30pm and gets up at 7:30 in the morning. I have also learned if i let my oldest stay up late friday and saturday she only losses out on sleep and becomes very irratable the next day.
All of my children are in pre-school with the exception the youngest is in day care. And believe me they can always tell when they get enough sleep

My 3 year old goes to sleep between 7 PM and midnight and wakes up between 6 and 10 AM the next morning. She doesn't usually wake up overnight when she gets to bed late, but if she is in bed at 7 or 8, then she may wake up at midnight and need to nurse back to sleep. This has pretty much been her pattern from early on.

Well I m here to solve what u wnt.
Well he is perfectly normal, at this age 0-12 mtsh he/she should sleep atleast 13-14 hrs a day, and from 12-24 months 10-12 hrs are normal and from 2nd to 8 yrs a sleep of 10 hrs is actually not a problem, u shoule actualy not worry, as more he sleeps, more his brain developes.
I will give u logic behind it.Brain of a child (0-12 mths), works harder than an adult, he learns 10 million of new things, compared to a couple of hunderd thousand for an adult or even less, the more his/her brain takes rest, it will work more efficiently

i have a 7 yr old. monday - friday he goes to bed at 8:30 and gets up at 7 am. on weekends he goes to bed at 9 and gets up about the same time or sometimes sleeps in until 8.
when he wakes up in the middle of the night i give him a glass of water and make him pee and lay down with him to sleep.
my daughter is 4 months she goes to bed around 9 for the night and gets up at 7. regaudless of the day.
when she wakes up (sleeps through the night already) i breastfeed her a little and put her back to sleep. all of this is in the dimmest of areas, with no sitmulaion so she will return back to sleep as soon as possible. i don't change her in the middle of the night unless she ready needs to be. there are some nights with her she just wakes up and i put her in my bed and she goes right back to sleep without eating or anthing. i lay her down with daddy and go to the bathroom and when i come back she is out like a light.
there are still some nights that my son will wake up and come to my room in the middle of the night just to sleep.
