Try Heavenly Bodies (available UK salons) I had it done a few weeks ago but left it on overnight (having been told I could do this or have a shower after 6hours) and I was a bit too dark but if you have it done and then have a shower ater 6 hours or so, it should be just about right. Im also of the 'pale and interesting' skin tone! PS Sorry about the terrible English, too many words lol!

Last summer I tried the foam type from Wilkinson's (their own brand) and although I have dozens of others, most very expensive too, the Wilkinson's one has been the best I have ever tried, it leaves your skin beautifully golden and so soft. The other thing I tend to do is to mix the others with moisturiser and a little tint, that's what we always did in the 80's, surprises me that they have only just started selling it ready made. Another good tip is to use a soft damp makeup sponge to apply it and also if you use latex gloves, they help to spread the lotion more easily and keep your hands from going orange.

If you've got really fair skin, I would go for one of those moisturisers with fake tan in.
I just Johnsons holiday skin, leaves my skin feeling lovely, doesn't smelly funny, and gives a very subtle light tan that builds up slowly. It's also really easy to use.
It's never made me look orange.

most fake tans come in 2 shades one for fair skin and one for darker skin (natural) tones
ask ur salon if they do one for fairer skin they should do
