Get a CV typed up, (you can find templates in Microsoft Word), and hand them in to all the recruitment agencies in your area. You could also just walk into any shop/bar/restaurant etc. and ask for an application form or ask if they need any staff. Also pass the word on to your family and friends as well and something will soon come up. If you're prepared to do any job you'll soon be employed.

Go to Wal-Mart, Costco, Starbucks, grocery stores, Target, etc. Hit the pavement running. Also, don't overlook things you can do around and for your neighbors -- dog walking, pet sitting, washing cars, running errands (if you have car), lawn work.
