The Stig used to be Perry Macarthy, an F1 test driver for Bennetton, Arrows and Williams, he's done the Le Mans 24 hour race and is good mates with Damon Hill. He's got a book coming out about all this. however, The Stig is now a different person and in fact has been several people in the latest series including a woman.

I think that everyone who watches Top Gear wants to know who the Stig is...personally i think it's Damon Hill but i don't think any one really does know except the producers and team... if you do ever find out let me know...thanks :D

iv'e answered this before, not long ago, i think theres more than one stig! but i think the guy who does the circuit stuff is damon hill!
dont be fooled by that interview they had with him.
