I love sushi and have eaten it for years but recently came across and article that said you could get worms like tape or round because they are only killed once the raw fish is cooked or frozen at below 6 degrees. Is there a way to self medicate so as to prevent this from happening or God forbid kill them if you are already infected?????

Not really the answer you'll want but a part of survival training is knowing how to kill worms should you discover you have them, a tablespoon of petrol will do it.

Not the nicest tasting medicine in the world but if needs must...

This was a public information notice.

I have seen a show and for tape worms you have to cut of the head or else it will just keep on growing. For the little ones ask you doc and he will give you meds take will take the worm(s)

I love sushi too, but i don't think you can get tape worm from it. I think the article meant like wild- non hormone fed and cattled fish.

you're not likely to get worms from sushi as long as you know that the restaurant you get it from is using sushi grade fish.
sushi grade is the freshest fish and it's tested for things like that.
