I'm an Iranian and I think never will happen, because They don't invest on their football as a professional and national sport.

I do not think Iran will ever win a FIFA World Cup. Although football is a huge sport in the country and it will keep getting better with the nation determined to beat more Western countries especially with a political influence such as the USA. Like many of the Brazilian superstars, past and present, the more under-priviledged kids will be playing at all times to have fun, so Iran may well produce some great new talent and no doubt play at some of the more high profile clubs in Europe. But i think Iran lack the financial support from their government to implement a suberb grass roots football campaign. No doubt they have the support to be that 12th man but there will always be better teams at the world cup, with a longer history of football that will beat Iran. So at the end of the day, they may well produce some good players who through their clubs could become great players but i highly doubt that they could produce a full roster of 23 players capable of beating the likes of Brazil, Argentina, England, France, Italy and Germany.

I think that Iran will win the world cup when they win the final game.

They'll win alright!!!! When the government changes!!!!!!! I'm not sure when that'll happen though!!! Right now the gorvernmnet doesn't give a damn but people LOVE it!!!
But, I don't think they'll win this year!! Although I gatta admit it will male the world cup really interesting if they go to the final!

I don't think they are ever likely too as they don't have the same sort of footballing infrastructure that the more successful countries do.
That said, they could just spring a suprise result in this World Cup

Maybe the worst thing about human being is mixing up every thing with each other.Y r u mixing up soccer with politics?

Actually I'm really hoping it'll be this year. With them up against the USA in the final. Could possibly be the most politically loaded final ever.
