I've been in Iraq. There are a lot of contractors over there. People are now doing business with Iraq more than ever. And it's not just Americans, but Italy, India, England, to name a few.
I doubt all Americans will leave for good. But if there isn't any major progress eradicating the enemy terrorists in the area in the next year. I'd say we'd probably have to leave sooner than later.
Even with all my confidence in the military commanders out there, it's not enough. There was some negligent planning on the administrations part. The borders aren't secured. I'd say we'll probably fully withdraw in 4 years.

When Iraq has a government that can defend itself and it's people. Not for a long time, I'm sure. We never fully vacated after the 1st Gulf war. Just look, we still have troops in S.Korea, Bosnia, Okinawa, Germany... etc. Iran is pulling this "S" because they know, now is their best chance of getting US $$$. Everyone knows, there are no winners in Nuc war. US more than anybody, Don't ever want that to happen again. However, if one goes off here, Americans will not feel so bad sending 2 or more back-at-cha. We'll do everything possible to avoid that, we expect you to do the same. Greedy Iranian SOB's want a payoff. They will use their oil as leverage again...

i might want to first factor out that 5 human beings have died in Iraq this month! God Bless them, it heavily isn't in vein. it is the backside dying toll with the aid of fact the conflict began. Do you spot a trend right here? Terrorism in Iraq is close to defeat. Iraq's government is commencing to look after itself. I understand that a lot of human beings want to get out, yet we could no longer do it in strengthen. If we do, we ok would desire to unfastened our modern progression. i do no longer think of the U.N. has any corporation stepping in for us. We began it, and now we can end it, and we can do a extra perfect interest than the U.N ever would desire to do. it particularly is a shaggy dog tale that they are taken heavily in any respect while it is composed of tackling the international's issues. all of us be responsive to it is not our land, we are waiting for Iraq to become nicely sufficient off to step in. provide me a injury on the oil. It has no longer something to do with our undertaking there and it in no way did.

When they're good and ready to go and invade somewhere else. They've gotta drum up a bit more political support first and then the moment someone mentions weapons of mass distraction (pun definitely intended) they'll be on the move again.

When the Shiites, Sunnis, and Kurds can prove they are together in patrolling their own problems and stop killing each other. We live together with many different religions and different sects of religion and don't kill each other over it. They must rid themselves of the common enemy, the terrorist faction and learn toleration between themselves
