In general, if a guy is often quiet and calm and does not joke around, and looks serious, and do not play around with you girls what do you think of him.

Well I have a calm, quiet and extremely polite guy myself and I love it! I must say, however, that although he tends not to joke around in the presence of others, he does plenty of it in when he is around me. That makes me feel really special because it shows that he is comfortable with me and is willing to let himself go in my presence. (And to answer your actual question, I don't think I could be around him too often if he didn't "let his hair down" sometimes. I can be rather extroverted and would prefer someone who is, at least, a bit more outgoing when he is around me.)

Honestly, that's the kind of man I like. He doesn't have to joke around a lot, but he does need a sense of humor of some sort. And I like "calm" and "quiet", as long as they're not synonyms for "deranged" and "comatose".

It depend on the person and how good a judge of character you are.
Personally i prefer a quiet guy to a loud mouth.
