I don't think ALL animals expel blood during their menstruation cycles, but I know cats & dogs do. But they don't do it monthly like us humans do. Dogs menstruate every 6 months & cats--I heard--menstruate every 3 months. The cat thing I cannot say for sure as I heard it from other cat owners & my cats have always been fixed.

only the great apes have an actual menstrual cycle - menstruation is a highly sophisticated reproductive strategy which is only found in relatively recent animal species.
most mammals have 'oestrus' - a period when the female is fertile - but oestrus is very different from a menstrual cycle.
some domesticated animals seem to exhibit pseudo-menstruation, but current thinking suggests that this is because of the hormone-laden 'human' foods they eat.
(if it does that to your cat - think what it must be doing to your sister).

if animals will not menstruate like humans then the population of animals will not increase. but the matter is that we are interested in them and not see that whether they are menstruating or not but if we see the humans are menstruating then we try to see them by hiding but not interested in the case of other animals.
but i had seen dogs, crows, cows indulging in menstruating.
So, without this population can't be increased.

Only human beings and the great apes experience a true menstrual cycle. Most placental mammals experience estrus instead.
