A survey done in 1998 by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety states these findings.Women caused 27% of fatal crashes.Men caused 73% of fatal crashes.
Women are driving more now than they did in the past but men still cause more crashes.Men are by far more riskier drivers causing more accidents.Regardless of age men are more likely to speed,be involved in late night single vehicle accidents. They are more likely to cause a crash while drinking and driving.Wrecks caused by road rage again men proved to be the ones who will be involved.
My own opinion is while women are better drivers they still can cause wrecks while trying to put make-up on while they are driving.

Women are the best drivers. Have been, always will be, and that is the fact. More accidents happen by men than with women. If you look while your driving, there are more women who drive men (their husbands or boyfriends) around than men driving women to places. Excuse me, get out of the driver's seat, I am driving not you.

You can't categorise good and bad drivers between men and women, there are some good male drivers and some bad just as much as there are some good female drivers and some bad. A bad driver is a bad driver whether they're a man or a woman.

Men! by a long way.
Most women can't be trusted with a shopping trolley, never mind a car.
Some women are the exception and can drive, the majority just don't have the flow or the rhythm for smoother driving, they are just erratic.they drive with their emotions and are a pain on the road, School collection times are a nightmare with all the mummy's trying to drive and think at the same time.

Men and women are both just as sure they are the best drivers on the road.
Just 48 per cent of females insist they are the safest gender behind the wheel compared to 53 per cent of men who think blokes rule.
However, 34 per cent of men will have passed their test in under three months compared to 20 per cent of women. And almost nine per cent of women will take between 18 months and three years to pass compared to just two per cent of men.

All the men I've been in a car with (don't take that the wrong way) seem to have a loose fuse, shouting, honking their horns. I feel much safer with a lady driver.

Both are terrible. Women - too careful and slow, men - too fast and reckless. But otherwise individually there are those (minor ones) that are really good drivers.
