I symphatize with all of them because I wonder how bad their life had to be for them to be in such a way.

The movie was called Psycho 2 (came out in the 80's) or something and I felt sorry for Norman Bates because at the beginning he was acting normally, and one of the characters tries to manipulate him into becoming a killer again, by posing as Norman's dead mother. Ironically, this backfires, as Norman does mistake him for his mother and then kills him. I felt like Norman's relapse into madness was not really his fault and he might have stayed sane if he had been left in peace.

Reno from "Driller Killer", he was just a normal guy till a lot of stupid, inconsiderate people pushed him too far. I know just how he feels, I often find myself surrounded by stupid, inconsiderate people...
