In general Psychology, this is referred as Illusion o movement.

We have seen the moon flying fast behind the clouds that half conceal it. Close observations shows that the clouds are moving across the sky in the opposite direction.

The clouds become stationary, for in the vast expanse of sky there is little to compare them. They become one’s stationary anchor for space at the moment. The moon changes its position with reference to the clouds, and so it has to move.

A similar thing happens when sitting in a train standing at a station when the train next to yours actually starts to move. It has been a very large part of your stationary world up until then, and remains so. You get the forcible impression that your train is in motion. Only when you fail to receive the customary jarring and jolting given through kinesthesis do you some times realize the truth.

When this is the case for a train and cloud, there is no wonder in the vast expanse of sky and earth we could only see the motion of the sun and our kinesthesis will not make us realize that the Earth is moving. I think if there were jarring and jolting of earth we will realize the truth.

To find out if something is moving or not, we compare it with at least 2 things . If we use only 1 thing to compare, then we will not know if it is the object which is moving or the thing we are comparing with.

But when it comes to the sun and earth, there is no third thing to compare with. As a result it cannot be understood if it is the earth or the sun that is moving.

The sun appears to move across the sky due to the Earths rotation, not it's orbit around the Sun.

Notice I said 'appears' to move. It's the earth moving, not the Sun.
It's a bit like looking out the window of a car in motion: we see things appear to whiz by, when it's actually us in the car that's moving.

Perspective. It's all about your point of view.
Next time you are outside a couple of times during the day, look at the sun's position.
Then imagine how far YOU just travelled to move around the earth to be put in that place of a different perspective!!

This is the concept of relativity.
U are in a train moving away from a station where ur friend is standing. For him u r moving away & viceversa.
Also, the person next to you is moving along with you wrt ur friend while he's sitting still as far as u think.
Look around you. We are all moving with reference to the sun at a speed of 18.5 miles/sec!

To help you understand that, look up for the term "sky projection" and its meaning.
