I guess you can't stop them. Maybe if u put a little fence around your flower beds it will help...

Petsmart has this spray that you use to deter animals from going to the bathroom in certain areas. There's more then one brand so ask the sales clerk for their opinion. -- OR -

Sprinkle cayenne pepper around the outside of your flower garden and put drops of peppermint oil on the inside. Cats hate the oil and pepper.

Horse manure works wonders
And there is a plant too, sure it's called catnap or something like that.

Horse manure, they hate it as much as you but the smell only lasts a day for us but effective long afterwards for cats.

I have read the other options and they should work. Also, place some rubber snakes in your flower bed it should scare.

grind some garlic in lot of water &spray in once a week cats cannot withstand this smell

fill empty bottles of water and leave them down cats hate their reflection so the wont stay around to long
