natural fair skin, if you keep out of the sun, you'll look younger for longer because the sun ages your skin. Be proud of your skin colour and don't change it!

After recently moving from the UK to the middle east, I would say that a tan is definately a cultural thing. In the West, a tanned skin is considered really attractive but the opposite is true in the middle east, where the whiter you are, the better you look to them.
If you are going to tan though, don't be a sun worshipper or use sun beds as your skin will age really quickly and you'll regret it in later years. There are also other implications for your health as well such as skin cancer. If you want a safe tan, then the best way to do it is to pay for a high quality self tanning lotion or better still, have your tan 'air brushed' on at any salon

Fair skin is much better. A classic "english rose"
And it shows that you are confident enough to just be who you are - which is always sexy!
If you have fair skin then you will not be able to tan via the sun, and you are a high risk category for skin cancer - you'll probably just go pink and back to white anyway!
You could try one of those moisturisers with a fake tan in it if you are desperate to have a tan, it's easier to use, no streaks or mess and the tan is very subtle so it is better if you have pale skin.

If you're fair skinned... keep it that way. Looking orange is not attractive and those are the results you'll get if you try to tan. Some people are able to get a nice brown tan but that's genetics.
Tanning in general is not advised cause it does in some people cause skin cancer. But you do need to get some sun as it helps promote the production of vitamin D in your system.

Tanning is unhealthy for fair skin types, and only damages. If you look at at alot of these people who tan alot weather it be natural or a tanning bed, their skin looks like leather after a while. Be proud of your fair skin and if you want a suddle appeal to your skin try that new Sublime Glow by Loreal. Its a moisturizing lotion with a natural skin tone inhancer.

I am naturally pale and intendt to stay that way! For a start I burn REALLY easily so am covered up and constantly applying sun cream of a high SPF. Secondly is it really worth it? Sun bathing and tanning can lead to skin cancer and ages the skin too. If you want to be tanned then you can always go to the beauty salon and get a fake tan! Its the safest way for your skin and health.

Fake it baby. A tan gives you a healthy glow and can make you look slimmer. But get it from a bottle, just a light tan not an orange david dickinson style. Johnsons holiday skin is fab!

natural skin. sunlight is beneficial in SMALL DOSES but when your body tans it is the cells producing tannin as a protection against UV so if your body starts to tan or burn you know the UV rays are having a negative effect on your body.
Sun beds are absolutely the worst - deliberate prolonged exposure to UV light that increases the risk of skin cancer.

A Tan shows that you've been active outdoors...Not holed-up in your house.
And if you are Outdoors getting a real tan...You can tell. It looks natural & healthy...gives you a nice healthy glow! Makes you feel good, too!
Just don't overdo it...Skin Cancer is on-the-rise...Always use protective sunscreen.
