To be honest i think that gta iz the greatest game in the ps2 ever.In some cases people might buy a new ps2 just 4 playing GTA so i hope that the saga continues in both PS2 and XBOX

I could be wrong... but I think that rockstar will look to making new GTA games for the ps3 (check rockstar as gta IV has been announced and a release date set, but very little other info) I know that liberty city stories has just come out on ps2, although it is an 'old' city. Perhaps if they make a 'vice city stories' for the psp, it will eventually come out on ps2 as well. As for brand new games, I don't think so. Think how big San Andreas was, if they want to progress much further, i guess they will be looking for a more powerful console.

buying a console for one specific game is a bad idea.
I don't see why anyone would toss $200, plus another $50 for a recent GTA game if they weren't going to play anything else on the PS2. I think your logic is biased. Try playing other PS2 games and you'll see that many of them are of really great quality. Plus, the next GTA game will probably be released on PS3.
..it would be even dumber to waste $600 and then $50 for a game and not play anything else on the console.

no. i don't think they will stop releasing gta on ps2. it is one of the greatest games on the ps2.
they will have gta4 n oct. 2007. it will be on the ps3, xbox 360, xbox, and ps2.
there are other good games on the ps2 too.

no, GTA: Liberty City stories came out in PSP and now in later June gonna come out in PS2 and XBOX.
I wonder where Vice City stories is gonna be released? I bet it's PS3...
