the best piece of advice I was ever given was when I was 13 from a guy I was seeing, he told me to look after number 1 because no one else would. I've just just began to understand that now..... im 21!! many people in life will try to hurt but you should only be bothered by the ones you truely care about. the only people worth crying over wouldn't make you cry in the first place!! : )

A couple of things- I don't know you so, I can only go by my own experiences.People like to hurt the feelings of people they perceive are better then them (I'll bring her down a notch or two!) so don't bother with them, you'll never turn them around. Then there is a multitude of things that give people pleasure in hurting others: again their own insecurity, if you're having a good life right now (they're jealous), if you're having a bad life right now (you deserve it) if you work (not enough time w/the kids) if you don't (what does she DO all day!) She thinks she's so smart, or She's soo stupid... it doesn't matter. Bottom line is... They are trying to make you feel bad to make them feel better about themselves; it's a petty, crappy thing that little people do when they don't know what to do because they're so useless. Just remember my 2 rules: always take the high road and don't fight it, cuz it ALWAYS, (I promise you) ALWAYS comes back to them and "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent" So chin up proud and don't consent to hurtful things.

Sometimes people can be mean. There are alot of people who treat you good then get what they can from you and move on. I can relate to you. It's hard to tell who really cares. By the time you find out you're hurt again. Be cautious. Don't trust too easily and get to know people slowly.

Users tend to latch onto people who they think are too weak to stand up for themselves. You need to be more assertive and start thinking about what makes you happy instead of worrying about upsetting other people. If you can learn where to draw the line and stand up for what you beleive, you will find that people no longer treat you with disrespect and will start to admire you for the person you are. Once they admire you, they will not be pretending to care. You need to build up confidence in yourself and realise you don't need these people so you have to be honest with them and tell them how they make you feel. If they don't like it, they can go and find another mug to latch onto.x

Some people are USERS... They feel the need to treat you good, then drop you like a stone...

But that is only a few people... There are lots of sensitive caring people out there...

People will take advantage if you let them i have this same problem often i am just to scared to speak up and say no.
people tell me to stand up for myself but it is easiar said than done.
All you can do is know that you are a good kind person and just bother with the people who are genuine.

People used to do that to me when I allowed them to victimize me. It's up tp you to be strong and start feeling good about yourself. The more you respect yourself without being arrogant about it, the more people will respect you. It might be time for you to cut those who are untrue to you out of your life. They do not really care about you.

Its easy to say something and not mean it but harder to act. Try
and gauge the situation from peoples actions rather than their words - I find it works better.
