The best way that I have found to do this is to put a preamp in-line with your PC and turntable providing that you have audio inputs. This will help with the low audio levels that a turntable produces and give you a decent recording into CD format. You can purchase a preamp that uses a 9v battery through special order at Radio shack. Hope this solves your problem. Que.

Record player to amplifier.Amplifier line out to line in on computer soundcard.I use AUDIOGRABBER (it's free) after that so i can label songs.It's pretty easy to do.
