why do rats lack a gall bladder ?

Rats do not have gall bladders due tot he fact that their bile breakdown, is done through acidic means with bile acid and muricholic acid, which then means as they dont have a bile reaction and so dont nee gall bladders

on the upside they dont get gall stones either.....

Because, when they smoke crack their gall bladder is expelled through the natural processes of nature. -i seen it happen.lol
